Grand Daddy Purple

Granddaddy Purple (often called GDP) was created in California in 2003 by breeder Ken Estes. It’s an indica-dominant hybrid that combines the genetics of Purple Urkle and Big Bud, two well-known parent strains that together produce GDP’s signature purple buds and thick resin production. With Afghan and Asian genetics in its lineage, GDP plants tend to grow into compact, bushy shapes with heavy flowers. As an indica-dominant cultivar, it’s prized for its high THC potency and reliable yields, making it a popular choice for growers and consumers alike.
